Cash Register King (trading as KingPOS) started in 1986, supplying cash registers to the hospitality and retail industry. The first PC based system using DOS was launched in 1990 and was specifically built for the hospitality industry.
With fast developing PC technology KingPOS realized the importance to stay in
touch with technology so the system was re-designed and re-developed using SQL
and Microsoft technology with C# as the |

programming language. This decision was made since SQL is arguably the most
widely used and supported database management system in the world. It is backed
by Microsoft who spends huge amounts on research and development to constantly
improve the functionality, performance and simplicity of their products.

Since KingPOS was developed on a Microsoft system there is a huge source of technical skills available to support it as it is the most widely used PC technology in South Africa and the rest of the world.

KingPOS does not supply its software in module form. If you use KingPOS you have access to all its modules. This also entitles you to newly released modules.

|
|
Although it can also be used in other retail sectors, KingPOS made the decision to specifically develop the system for the hospitality industry. This ensures that the efficiency, size and complexity of the system are not compromised by enhancing it with features required by other retail applications. It goes further than the software. Your staff also needs to know about hospitality trends eg HACCP, food trends, serving procedures and hospitality legislation.

KingPOS is current used through out South Africa, other African countries and
Europe. The customer base includes a variety of hospitality outlets from coffee shops and ice cream parlours to busy restaurants, pubs and clubs.

KingPOS head office is based in Cape Town. From here we log onto our clients computers and solve any software problem that they could experience. This Client could be 1km from us or on the other side of the world, it does not matter.

|
|
Hardware support is performed from our Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban offices. We also have support agents in the small towns.
